Karen Brelsford is a communications trainer and co-Artistic Director of BATS Improv. She helps people and organizations thrive through creativity, collaboration, and effective communication.
With over 13 years of experience teaching improv and acting, Karen leads workshops that enhance public speaking, boost confidence, and help leaders adapt in high-pressure environments. Using improv techniques, she creates engaging experiences that empower participants to connect with their audience, think on their feet, and lead with impact.
Karen is also a working actor in San Francisco, conservatory-trained at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, a member of SAG-AFTRA, UBCP/ACTRA, and CAEA, a skilled improviser, and a comedic Kate Middleton impersonator. Karen holds an M.Sc. in dendrochronology, a B.Sc. in Geography and History in Art, and an AOS in Acting.
